How to Import Your CLZ Collection into LiveSeller

Use your CLZ Comics collection to get started with LiveSeller Pro. Import your entire inventory -- titles, issue numbers, publishers, and conditions -- in minutes.

If you use CLZ Comics to track your collection, you already have everything you need to get started with LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition. Your entire collection — titles, issue numbers, publishers, conditions — is already cataloged. All you need is a way to turn that data into Whatnot listings without retyping it all by hand.

Here is how to do it in about ten minutes.

Why CLZ Users Have a Head Start

Most Whatnot sellers who use CLZ Comics have hundreds or even thousands of comics tracked in the app. That is a massive amount of structured data — publisher names, issue numbers, conditions, cover images, purchase dates, current values. CLZ does an excellent job of organizing all of it.

The problem is getting that data out of CLZ and into Whatnot. Without a tool to bridge the gap, you are looking at one of two options: retype every comic by hand into Whatnot’s “Create a Product” screen, or just list a fraction of your collection and hope for the best.

Neither option is great. The first one takes forever. The second one leaves money on the table.

LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition is the bridge. It reads CLZ’s export format natively, maps everything to the fields Whatnot needs, and generates a file you can upload directly. Your CLZ collection becomes Whatnot listings in minutes.

Step 1: Export from CLZ

Open CLZ Comics on your computer or phone. Go to the export option and choose CSV or XML — either one works. A CSV is just a spreadsheet file, and XML is the format CLZ uses natively. LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition accepts both. Save it somewhere you can find it — your desktop or downloads folder works fine.

If you are using the CLZ mobile app, you can email the export to yourself and open it on your computer. The file contains all the data CLZ has for each comic: title, issue number, publisher, condition, variant info, and more.

Tip: If you only want to list part of your collection, use CLZ’s filter or folder features to narrow your export. For example, you might export just your “For Sale” folder or filter by publisher. LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition will import whatever you give it.

Step 2: Import into LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition

Open your LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Go to the Import Center from the menu. Choose “CLZ Import” and upload the file you just exported.

LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition reads the CLZ format automatically. Your titles, issue numbers, publishers, and conditions come in exactly as CLZ has them. No copy-pasting. No retyping. No reformatting columns.

The Import Center handles the translation between CLZ’s data structure and what LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition needs internally. Fields that exist in CLZ but do not have a Whatnot equivalent are preserved in your inventory for your own records. Fields that Whatnot requires but CLZ does not track — like auction starting prices or shipping weights — get flagged so you can fill them in.

Step 3: Review and Fix

After the import, LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition scans your data for common problems:

You will see exactly what needs to be fixed. Most of it gets corrected automatically — LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition knows that CLZ’s “Near Mint” maps to Whatnot’s condition field, for example. For the rest, you just pick from a list. No guessing, no memorizing Whatnot’s category codes.

This review step is where the real time savings happen. Instead of catching errors one at a time as Whatnot rejects individual listings, you see everything up front and fix it in bulk before uploading.

Step 4: Export to Whatnot

Once everything is clean, hit export. LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition generates a file that is ready to upload directly to Whatnot. Every column, every field, every category — already formatted the way Whatnot expects.

Upload it to Whatnot and your listings are live. What used to take hours of typing now takes a few minutes. And because the data came straight from CLZ, the accuracy is as good as what you already had cataloged — no typos from manual re-entry.

What About Updates?

Your CLZ collection changes over time. You add new comics, sell others, update conditions after grading. No problem — just re-export from CLZ and re-import into LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition whenever you want. The import process handles new and updated entries the same way.

If you get new shipments from a distributor, you can import those separately. LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition works with CLZ exports, distributor files from Lunar and PRH, and plain CSV or Excel spreadsheets. Use whatever source has the data.

Why This Matters for Your Shows

The difference between a seller with 50 listings and a seller with 500 listings is not inventory — it is preparation. Most comic sellers have more stock than they can list. The bottleneck is always the data entry.

With LiveSeller Pro Comic Edition and CLZ together, that bottleneck disappears. Your entire tracked collection can be listed and ready to sell. More listings means more visibility on Whatnot, more items for buyers to browse before and during your show, and more chances to make a sale.

It also means you can run shows more frequently without the prep time burning you out. If listing 100 comics takes ten minutes instead of four hours, doing two or three shows a week stops being a fantasy.
